Il gruppo di oggi è entrato a far parte dell’Olimpo dei Migliori Gruppi Rock in attività. Stiamo parlando degli Alter Bridge, che domani si esibiranno live al Sonisphere Festival.
Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips e Brian Marshall: questa è la formazione completa, ed è la quadra perfetta di tecnica, presenza scenica ed innovazione. Coloro che si aspettavano “I Creed con un altro cantante” sono stati presto disillusi.
Gli AB nascono nel 2004 da ciò che rimane dei Creed (Tremonti, Phillips e Marshall) e dei Mayfield Four (Myles Kennedy). Ad oggi hanno prodotto tre album, tutti elogiati sia da critica che pubblico.
“Blackbird” fa parte del secondo album della band, ed è stata insignita del titolo di “Canzone con il miglior assolo di chitarra di sempre” dalla rivista “Guitarist”. Sempre in “Blackbird”, Myles sfoggia appieno le sue notevoli capacità vocali : ben quattro ottave di estensione, e la nota tenuta più a lungo (31 secondi!) di tutte le canzoni degli AB prendendo un solo respiro.
