Day 121: “Easy Livin'” – Uriah Heep

!!!ITALIANO!!!

Dear friends, today’s song is from one of those bands who most contributed to the greatness of the made in Britain rock. Uriah Heep have been indeed able to create an aggressive but still harmonious sound, more over they gave rock a new creative influence, sometimes being ahed of the times. The track is from the album Demons & Wizards, 1972, their fourth studio work, made by the most classic line up, which will be destined to change in the following years. David Byron on vocals, Mick Box on guitar, Ken Hensley on keyboards, Gary Thain on bass and Lee Kerslake on drums.

Just think that a journalist from Rolling Stone stated at the beginning of Uriah’s career, that, was this band successful, she would have committed suicide …

Lyrics

This is a thing I’ve never known before, it’s called easy living.
This is a place I’ve never seen before, and I’ve been forgiven.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven, since you’ve taken your place in my heart.
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you.
Day after day on that windy road I had walked behind you.

Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven, since you’ve taken your place in my heart.
Waiting, watching, wishing my hard life away.
Dreaming, fainting, ready for love every dayand some easy living.
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you.
Day after day on that windy road I had walked, walked behind you.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven, since you’ve taken your place in my heart.
Easy living, and I’ve been forgiven, since you’ve taken your place in my heart.
