Day 52: “Esta Es Mi Vida” – Jesse Y Joy.

In 2008 they won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The band featured today is made by brother and sister, in the best rock tradition ever: Jesse cares about one of the two guitar lines,  piano and second voices, whereas Joy is lead voice and guitar.

It’s not easy to find many information online regarding this band, especially as the official website is still a “work in progress”. The few we have are from this interview made by the staff of Nochelatina.com, in which Jesse and Joy explain how their main musical influences come from artists as Johnny Cash and Neil Young.

Meanwhile, on the fourth of July, J&J released the last single “Me Voy”, which make us hope about not waiting too much to hear the third album of the band.

Today’s song comes from the album “Electricidad”, released on 2010, which  confirmed all the good expectations we had about this band: here is the video!
