Day 86: “A New Saga Begin” – Rhapsody Of Fire

Today we are in power metal genre, with a song composed by Rhapsody of Fire, an italian band born in 1993, as  Thundercross, and founded by  Alessandro Staropoli and Luca Turilli, the first keyboarder and the second guitarist.

This song is taken from the first album release as Rhapsody of Fire, Triumph or Agony, second work in the Dark Secrets Saga, a fanasy series also made up of  other album like Symphony of Enchanted Land II: The Dark Secret, The Frozen Tears of Angels, The Cold Embrace of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony and at last the ending chapter, released this year, From Chaos to Eternity. In addition in this saga we can find the great Christopher Lee (noted for his roles in many movie like Dracula, Star Wars e The Lord of the Rings and many others)  as story teller.

The band, in addition to Turilli and Staropoli, is also composed by Fabio Lione (voice) and Alex Holzwarth (drummer).

However, there were many rumors about Luca Turilli last week! In fact, in August 16th the guitarist and co-founder of Rhapsody left the band, probably to go on with Luca Turilli’s Dreamquest, his second band, which has released in 2006 the album Lost Horizons. We hope to see him soon live, since he hasn’t performed live yet neither as soloist, nor as Luca Turilli’s Dreamquest.
