Day 37: “Waiting For The Sun” – The Doors

!!!ITALIANO!!!

Two days ago it was Jim Morrison‘s death anniversary and today A Collection is coming out, a box containing the six albums released by The Doors between 1967 and 1971.

These days there will also be the publication of When You’re Strange original soundtrack; the movie is a documentary about the Californian band by Tom DiCillo, with Johnny Depp as narrator, Morgan in the Italian version.

Onesongfortoday wants to pay its own tribute to this great frontman with today’s song, Waiting For The Sun, from the album Morrison Hotel , 1970.

Lyrics

At first flash of Eden
We race down to the sea
Standing there on freedom’s shore

Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun

Can you feel it
Now that Spring has come
That it’s time to live in the scattered sun

Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun.
Waiting for the sun
Waiting,, waiting,, waiting,, waiting, waiting,, waiting,, waiting,, waiting

Waiting for you to come along
Waiting for you to hear my song
Waiting for you to come along
Waiting for you to tell me what went wrong

This is the strangest life I’ve ever known
[scream]

Can you feel it
Now that Spring has come
That it’s time to live in the scattered sun.

Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
