Day 13: “Tonight” – Alessia D’Andrea.

As everybody knows, we are all living in very difficult times. Economical crisis, everyday challenges, and the lack of resources to encourage young talents caused their emigration, searching for better luck.

Today’s featured artist perfectly matches with the famous proverb according to wicht “Nobody is a prophet in his own land”. Starting from her unmistakable italian name, Alessia D’Andrea seems to be quite unknown in her native country, even though she attended some TV programmes on the national channel RAI and performed in concert with very famous artists such as Jethro Tull.

On the contrary, her success spread on East Europe, and her cd (the only one so far) has been distributed in UK, Romania, Australia, Spain, Norway, South Africa, Canada, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico, Singapore, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Bulgaria (just to mention some).
