Day 97: “September” – One Less Reason

!!!ITALIAN!!!

We will be unable to write an accurate biography of today’s band, as there are very few informations available online.

The band comes from Tennessee, and was formed in 1998 from the ashes of Lappdog by Cris Brown and Jereme Hubble. In 2003 they signed a contract with Universal Records, but only the single “Favorite Colors” was released.

During the years, four albums were made. The last one, “Faces and Four Letter Words“, was released on 14th June 2011.

Which moment can be better to introduce “September” on our blog?

This song is an extract from the second album, “A Lifetime Burning“, and has not an official video: the good news is that the live videos seems to be recorded and cut by professionals.

Here it is, our song for today!!!

“September” – Lyrics

I saw your headlights in the window
My face was pressed against the glass
I waited for years for you to return before I learned
That you were never coming back

I’m gonna close my eyes before I start to scream

I’m dwelling on things I’ve never noticed
You won’t save yourself, you’ll never save me
I only stumbled once for a moment, it was over
I think I’ll close my eyes before I start to scream

You said today’s the day goodbye just won’t wait

[Chorus]
And if you need me to, I’ll wait until September
It’s come and gone, November’s on its way
So easy to forget and hard to remember, I remember
The way to getting back our self-esteem

The lines on your face are getting clearer
To me you’ll always be 23
They said you wouldn’t hold on too much longer
But you’re so much stronger than they ever thought you’d be

I’m gonna open up and tell you everything

[Chorus]
And if you need me to, I’ll wait until September
It’s come and gone, November’s on its way
So easy to forget and hard to remember, I remember
The way to getting back our self-esteem

[Bridge]
Oh yeah, no regrets
You got no one left
I hope that every step reminds you of the ones that you left

[Chorus]
And if you need me to, I’ll wait until September, yeah
It’s come and gone, November’s on its way, on its way, yeah
So easy to forget and hard to remember, I remember
The way to getting back our self-esteem, oh yeah
Back our self-esteem, oh

They said you wouldn’t hold on too much longer
But you’re so much stronger than they ever thought you’d be
